For Dr. Sulatycki becoming involved with sports medicine was a natural progression from his years as a competitive volleyball player. He started playing club volleyball in 1986 and has been at it ever since. A former Ontario provincial team player, he was a 5 year starter and former captain on the Men's Varsity Volleyball team at York University . In 1999 he played professionally in Slovenia 's premiere A1 division. He is currently a member of the 2012 Canadian Men's Open National Volleyball Championship team, the Toronto Ruffriders.
Through his experiences and injuries as an athlete he has gained a unique insight into the rehabilitation process. Having seen numerous diverse healthcare practitioners, he realized that he wanted to be involved in the process of helping injured people return to a healthy state. Studying Kinesiology and then becoming a Chiropractor allowed him to achieve this goal. During his education he studied rehabilitation, fitness assessment, and sports training methodology; maintaining a specific focus on anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics . A life long learner he is frequently taking courses and seminars to further enhance his knowledge of the human body and its workings. He continues to expand and refine his clinical skill set in order to provide the best care possible for his patients.
